This strategic initiative, disclosed on October 19, positions the company for substantial growth in the rapidly evolving Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) landscapes. The company’s stock is set to resume trading on October 20, marking a pivotal moment for investors eyeing opportunities in China’s smart device and industrial digitization sectors. Yidao Information plans to acquire 100% of Langguo Tech and Chengwei Information through a combination of share issuance and cash payments. The transaction is expected to enhance Yidao’s capabilities in IoT, AI, and industrial digitization, with both target companies showing robust financial performance. Stock trading resumes on October 20 with no change in control, ensuring stability for existing shareholders. This move aligns with China’s push for technological self-reliance and innovation in smart devices and RFID applications. The acquisition framework involves issuing new shares to multiple counterparties alongside cash payments that will be partly funded through an accompanying fundraising initiative. Langguo Tech reported revenues of RMB 674 million in 2024 with a net profit of RMB 97 million, while Chengwei Information posted revenues of RMB 335 million and a net profit of RMB 64 million for the same period. By integrating Langguo Tech’s expertise in interactive control and device connectivity and Chengwei Information’s prowess in RFID technology, Yidao aims to address growing demand for integrated hardware-software solutions in AIoT markets. This restructuring enables the company to cross-leverage R&D capabilities and capture higher-margin opportunities in sectors like smart education and smart manufacturing.
